Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., commonly referred to as Lamborghini, is an Italian manufacturer of sports cars, based in the small Italian village of Sant'Agata Bolognese, near Bologna. The company was founded in 1963 by businessman Ferruccio Lamborghini, who owned a successful tractor factory, Lamborghini Trattori.

The ZR1 engine is a modified LS3, designated the LS9, producing 638 hp (476 kW) and 604 ft·lbf (819 N·m). of torque, making this the most powerful production Corvette to date. The LS9 has a sixth-generation Eaton TVS R2300 roots 4-lobe supercharger with an intercooler.

In May 2005, a prototype Veyron tested at a Volkswagen track near Wolfsburg, Germany recorded an electronically limited top speed of 400 km/h (249 mph). In October 2006, Car and Driver magazine's editor Csaba Csere test drove the final production version of the Veyron for the November 2006 issue. This test, at Volkswagen's Ehra-Lessien test track, reached a top speed of 407.5 km/h (253.2 mph).

The first automobile ever produced was the Benz Patent Motorwagen, built in 1885 and unveiled in 1886 by Karl Benz. Unique and consequently the fastest, it established a record speed of 16 km/h (10 mph). More than a century later, in September 2007, the SSC Ultimate Aero TT registered the latest record, for a production car, of 412 km/h (256.18 mph).

Revealed in late 2007, the 2009 GT-R marks the revival of an iconic nameplate for Nissan. The car is powered by a 3.8L twin-turbo V6, good for 480 horsepower and 434 ft-lb of torque. The only transmission that will be available in the GT-R is a GR6 dual-clutch six-speed. The GT-R's powertrain is reportedly good for a zero to 60 time of 3.5 seconds, a quarter mile time of only 11.7 seconds and a top speed of 192 mph.

As we revealed in our March 2008 issue, Hyundai opens a new chapter in automotive history this summer when it begins selling its first V-8-powered, rear-drive sedan-the appropriately named Genesis. Naturally, a rear-drive Genesis sedan begets a rear-drive Genesis coupe-and from the appearance of things, this two-door could be just as much of a revelation as its four-door forebear. Why? Just take a look at who it's targeting.

Mercedes-Benz's BMW X3 killer, the GLK350, makes its debut April 20 at the Beijing Auto China show. The compact crossover sport/utility was previewed by two concepts at the Detroit show in January, and goes on sale in the U.S. next January as a 2010 model.

"We stopped bringing Mustangs on our development rides because they were so far behind us in our rearview mirror," says Al Oppenheiser, GM's North American rear-drive vehicle chief engineer and effectively the new Camaro's father. "It wasn't even worth taking them anymore," he continues, with the faintest of smirks.

Cadillac exterior design director John Manoogian II can't contain himself. He talks about the production CTS coupe and how it will hardly vary from the "CTS coupe concept," the unmitigated hit of the North American International Auto Show (Detroit), without adding the requisite, "If we were to build it." And so what's a poor Cadillac P.R. guy to do, but to say it hasn't been made official?

Look at recent economic history, and karma begins to make sense. Here's the cycle: increased oil demand; record crude prices; record gas prices; consumer panic; a slew of new vehicles poised to solve our oil dependency dilemma. It could be argued that this series of actions were led by karma. Translated from Sanskrit, the word "karma" means "work, action, the law of cause and effect."

"Sport Truck," or ST, is just a placeholder. It's the generic name for the El Camino-style 2010 Pontiac G8 variant based off the Holden Ute. Try saying "Ute" over here without sounding like Joe Pesci describing a young person in "My Cousin Vinny." GM is holding an online contest at www.pontiac.com/namethiscar to pick a name. The result will be announced on April 15.

At 50 feet, it's the scowl that grabs you first. A steeply raked grille and partially shrouded foglights provide a menacing squint not seen in a generation of ponycars. Get closer and the 2010 Mustang GT appears shorter, wider, and lower than the previous generation, a visual trick achieved by adding blackout rocker panels and carefully elevating a few body lines. It sounds contradictory, but the flared-up haunches and stepped hood seem to lower the car and trim its overall length. Those sculpted hips and the slight forward tilt of the rear end also add character and visually (not actually) shorten what was a long and featureless rump.

When the BMW Z4 replaced the Z3 in 2002, it marked a significant departure in styling for the upscale roadster, due in large part to BMW design guru Chris Bangle's controversial at the time "flame surfacing" look. Love it or hate it, the Z4 has had a successful six-year run, changing little during that period. This time around, for the second-generation 2009 BMW Z4, the updates to the two-seater are decidedly less radical and more evolutionary.

Today Ford added two new co-branded models to its F-Series Super Duty line-up, the F-450 Harley-Davidson and FX-4 Cabela edition. The 2009 HD model continues a long tradition of collaboration between the Blue Oval and builder of hogs, but is the first time this co-branding has been applied to the mightiest of F-Series pickups, the F-450.

According to the paper, published in the September 2005 Annual Proceedings of the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine: "The archetypical elderly driver fatality involves a belted, sober driver pulling into the path of an oncoming vehicle during the day and dying several days after a collision of moderate severity.

At the finale of the European Le Mans Series at Silverstone, Peugeot is rolling out the 908 HY, a hybrid version of the 908 HDi FAP that made the LMP1 battle at this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans a very interesting affair. The 908 HY might well be what we see at Circuit de la Sarthe next June is the ACO regs for 2009 allow it.

The show is presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and The Stig, an anonymous test driver. The programme is estimated to have 385 million viewers worldwide. In 2007 it was one of the most pirated television shows in the world. I was bored so I made this video with some funny clips from a few episodes that I have, hope you'll enjoy.

On the road since May of 2006, and after about 30.000 kms of tests, Simbol reached speeds of about 320 kms/h with excellent stability and braking in every condition. This result, combined with the overwhelming interest achieved throughout the world, has led to development of the GTX with modified design and improved performance. It will be equipped with a V12 6.0 cc. Engine achieves 100 hp/litre (this permits a perfect connection between power and reliability) and a speed of 360 kms/h. reaching 620 hp.

The 2009 Mustang is still nearly exactly the same near-sports car that thrilled the automotive world when released for the 2005 model year, a big step up from the previous model in terms of performance relative to base price, and handling. Still, carrying a fixed real axel even in Mustang GT trim, the 2009 Ford Mustang can't touch the sports car capabilities of other models in the class.

Toyo Tires will have six featured vehicles in its SEMA booth including the Bentley Continental GT-based Tetsu GTR by Japanese tuner ASI. The widebody Bentley is be one of just 29 models made and produces 800hp.

Don't believe your eyes. The new 159 might look like a 156 evolved, but actually every part beyond nuts 'n' bolts is new. The Giugiaro-designed body is frankly sensational and puts the 156 themes into a more modern, muscular and road-hugging form.
It's got detail, too - the triple front lights and polished-blade door handles are just lovely. Why no hidden rear handles like the old car? Because this one can't sit in a ghetto for Alfisti: it has to attract people out of Mercs and Audis. It can't be too eccentric.
